Justin was so vehement that at first I thought he was being sarcastic. But I agree with what he said regardless. Just because they were influential we don't have to like it; a lot of people don't like Hemingway but he was influential. I don't think it's laziness.

Wow! This list is PERFECT!!!! I agree with them ALL!! Who CARES how influential they were or how they changed music! I should not be forced to accept they are good bands because of this! They are just annoying and overplayed now! I will instead choose to respect them and their place in music history and respectfully decline listening to them. Well done, Tony. Well done. *proud*

I can't think of any bands right now, you really nailed the big ones.

Man, I couldn't disagree with you more about Journey and The Police. They were two heavily influential bands for their times. I know that doesn't mean you have to like them, but I think you're severely downplaying their importance in the evolution of rock and roll.

Journey especially. As much as I absolutely love Pink Floyd, Steve Perry could out-sing David Gilmour any day.

Ben: Rochefort is a smelly cheese that is made in France in the same area as the Monastery and brewery.

I have a few barrel aged beers in my cupboard, I will bust them out next time we get together!

Jon: I have a 2009 Abyss that I'm saving for when you come visit. It sits in my cupboard, taunting me.

I have not had the joy of trying the Abyss. The Rochefort I have the 8 and 10, in waiting and have been waiting for this better weather and maybe sneak it in to my brother's wedding. I had the La Fin once and wasn't the biggest fan, but under your recommendation maybe i will revisit it. I did enjoy your Kickin' Chicken but would wish to have some more. Old Rasputuin is also one of my first introductions to quality beer and holds a special place in my heart.

Rochefort? Isn't that like a smelly kind of cheese?

That Kickin' Chicken sounds awesome! Though I'm wary of anything described as licorice, so the Old Rasputin might not be for me.

I'd also try The Abyss simply 'cause I've yet to try a beer aged in barrels, to my knowledge. Keep the info. coming!
